from a person to whom I've been sending your political cartoons....
Your
friend is very talented. His work reminds me of the best political cartoons
around today. |
Cartoonist Eric T. Styles has taken a month off from working on his web comic BiNGE to devote his time to editorial cartoons about the 2008 election. Styles worked as an editorial cartoonist in th 1980's for numerous New Jersey newspapers, he couldn't resist sinking his pen into this election. Having grown disillusioned and apathetic over the years with politics, only a heated election could fire his passions. Eric has walked both sides of the political road. Why this time has he chosen the right side? "I despised the Bush administration with a passion, the Dems could've nominated a stuffed animal and I probably would have backed it. At first I was enthusiastic about Obama. When the Reverend Wright sermons came to light, I was nauseated. As angry as I sometimes get at our government, I never HATED America." The constant biased media reporting and cult like attitudes for Obama drove this cartoonist to stand behind McCain. "John McCain is a great man of strength and integrity, a true hero who has suffered and triumphed. Obama? A pampered Ivy Leaguer who is as out of touch with the real America as George W." |

A word of wisdom in these dark times... If I'd written all the truth I knew for the past ten years, about 600 people - including me - would be rotting in prison cells from Rio to Seattle today. Absolute truth is a very rare and dangerous commodity in the context of professional journalism.
